Shanghai, China – BAIC Group, a leading Chinese automaker, made a strong statement at the 21st Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition, debuting seven new vehicles across its core brands: ARCFOX, Beijing Off-Road, STELATO, and Beijing Benz. Under the theme “Intelligence in Motion, Future in Vision,” BAIC presented over 30 models, highlighting its shift toward intelligent and premium mobility.
Center stage was taken by the ARCFOX 77° concept car, designed by Global VP of Design Anthony Lo. Inspired by polar auroras and ancient ice, it combines sustainable materials with AI-driven interfaces, embodying ARCFOX’s design-forward philosophy.
Four production models from ARCFOX also debuted. The all-new αS5, a high-performance EV sedan, is powered by CATL’s second-generation Shenxing battery, offering a 708 km CLTC range and 525 km of recharge in 15 minutes. The compact T1 crossover delivers a spacious interior and commanding stance. The αT5 Robotaxi, co-developed with Pony.ai, demonstrated Level 4 autonomous driving in urban conditions.
Beijing Off-Road introduced the BJ40 REEV Red Hare Edition, featuring a bold grille, nitrogen-lifted suspension, oversized tires, snorkel, and auxiliary lighting. Its cabin includes the “360 Smart Guardian” system for privacy and safety. In a symbolic gesture, BAIC Chairman Zhang Jianyong presented a customized unit to 360 Group founder Zhou Hongyi.
STELATO, BAIC’s premium EV brand co-developed with Huawei, unveiled the S9 REEV Edition—an executive sedan with a 1,355 km CLTC range and fuel consumption of just 5.93 L/100 km on 92-octane fuel. Features include adaptive damping, air suspension, and an intelligent energy recovery system.
Marking 20 years of partnership, BAIC and Mercedes-Benz revealed a long-wheelbase all-electric CLA sedan for the Chinese market. Built on an 800 V architecture with a two-speed transmission, it launches with the MB.OS smart operating system, advancing EV performance and digital luxury.
BAIC also showcased innovations in vehicle architecture and energy systems. Highlights included a globally unique roll-cage-integrated off-road body, a self-developed solid-state battery with 5% higher energy density and 50% improved thermal control, and the world’s first unified AI driving-cabin fusion platform for lower latency and enhanced safety.
Strategic collaborations with Qualcomm, Bosch, Zoyoo, and Chelink are driving breakthroughs in AI, connectivity, and human-machine interaction. Visitors explored these technologies through interactive humanoid robots and AR experiences via Rokid smart glasses.
As the show concludes, BAIC launches its “Three-Year Leap Action” to accelerate brand renewal and market leadership in China’s independent auto sector. With a focus on safety, intelligence, and accessibility, BAIC is shaping the next chapter of global mobility.
